Pinewood - The Philosophy

The Pinewood Academia Society, The Pinewood Hospital and The Pinewood Residential Senior Secondary School (Affiliated to CBSE No. 230081, School Code - 35167) under the ‘The Academia Pinewood’ pledges to grow and spread knowledge, to make true healthy human being education, promising, responsible, honoured with a sense of involvement to the society, to the human race yet will never be old.

The family will keep Pinewood alive, young and lovable for all the years singing ‘Man may come, man may go, but Pinewood will live forever’. With your help, goodwill and active participation, you are a part of Pinewood – its life – its theory – its growth and its future.

Born on 12-01-1986 Pinewood has become a name off standard, a name so dear to all those are not jealous and who love the best. Pine wood is an institution of the people where all the members of the Pinewood family come to bless it at one time or other and wish to share the patronage for all the coming years. Pinewood is dedicated to you, to the society, to the people of Assam to thrive forward for a better tomorrow which will be enviable.

Pinewood Residential Senior Secondary School stands for quality education, an education which will try to make a child truly educated – not literate alone – capable of standing on his/her own feet as Swamiji said, “We are sure – we will do it and do it with you”.

We know you are with us because you love a better generation, a better world.

In Pinewood we will not burden the baby’s backbone with a load of books till it is strong enough to carry it. We will provide hot nutritious meals to every child during their stay in the school for a healthy life and teach them to eat in a joyous environment.

THE STORY

The Pinewood Academia Society came into existence on 19-02-99 and registered in 2001. It was Dr. H.N. Borkataky, Dr. D.N. Borthakur, Mr. L.N. Borkataky, Mr G.S. Bordoloi, Mrs Kalyani Borkataky who formed it, for a better Assam, to make a better Assamese Society and to build a better India. Today we the Indians are second to none as regards to spirituality & with good people to live. We have all, proper guidance and training, proper followers to the ideologies of all great men who left us keeping their visionary ideologies.

The school building started with the present Institute of Primary Education. The Rev. Satradhikar of Dakhinpat Satra, Shri Shri Nani Gopal Devgoswami started with it with the ‘Grihapravesh’ ceremony followed by the gracious visit of Late Swami Gahananandji, the International Vice President of Ramakrishna Mission. The foundation stone was laid by Mrs. Saroj Borkataky and the building Manik Bhawan is dedicated to Late Manik Ch. Borkataky. It has 16 classrooms, Library, Dining hall and accommodation to teachers. It is the place where we build the foundation of a future Assam.

Irrespective of caste and creed we believe in making better citizens who won’t mind giving his life today for a better tomorrow.

THE MOTTO

The motto of this institution is not only to impart textual knowledge but also to provide adequate moral, spiritual, and physical education for the all-round development of the child.

The institution aims at a better system of education using modern equipment and audio-visual aids in the teaching-learning process to make classroom teaching more effective and interesting.
