Boarding

In the boarding at PRS, we strive to make each child blossom into those hues that suit them the best, by maintaining the right balance of care, freedom, and fun within a regulated framework. The school has separate hostel blocks for boys and girls. Boarding life at PRS, which is available from Lower Montessori (LM) onwards, provides a secure and supportive environment to the students. Comfortable accommodation and a vibrant environment in the hostels give the students a sense of homeliness and a feeling of belonging. In this ambiance, students generally relate to each other in a friendly and accepting manner and think of the school community in terms of a large, extended family. Meals are served in Dining Halls with the male & female Wardens supervising breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner.

ADMISSION
Admission to the hostel is open for students from Lower Montessori onwards (Ages 4 onwards).

FOOD
Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are served. Non-veg is served every day at Lunch or Dinner. Careful attention is given to the table manners of the students.

HEALTH
The health of the students is taken care of. The boarding fee covers treatment in the school dispensary for minor ailments only. In case of serious illness, students will be admitted into local hospitals if needed, at the expense of the parents. Charges for expensive medicines or injections prescribed by the school doctor will be added to the bill. A doctor visits the hostel and is available when called for, in an emergency. Serious illness will be reported immediately to the parents or guardians.

POCKET MONEY
No Boarder is allowed to keep pocket money. However, a small amount of money can be kept with the hostel warden for petty expenses of the children.

TOILET REQUISITES
When the boarders join the hostel for the first time or rejoin the same after a vacation, they must be in possession of sufficient toilet requisites for the complete term.
